Political deal: €1.1m car order for ministers

THE Taoiseach and the President can’t have one, some of the ministers may conscientiously decide to forgo them, but at the end of the day they will all be at the mercy of the gardaí.

The Office of Public Works has this week assigned contracts for a total of €1.1 million to five car dealerships which will allow it to have on order 18 “large executive saloon cars”.
