TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern was accused yesterday of failing in his obligations to reveal bank transactions to the Mahon Tribunal. He had left “significant gaps” in his original evidence, noted Judge Alan Mahon.

He was accused of breaching an order of discovery in not supplying details of a IR£50,000 transfer into his former partner Celia Larkin’s account.

He placed the money in Ms Larkin’s AIB account in December 1994.
