Air travellers face Spanish regulations

PASSENGERS flying to Spain will be required to comply with an extra layer of paperwork security from next Wednesday.

Air travellers face Spanish regulations

The Spanish authorities have demanded all travellers entering the country fill out a personal information sheet before checking in for their flight.

This means they will have to supply their name, passport number and nationality along with other details on a standardised card before boarding.

Ryanair has warned its passengers to do this before getting to the airport.

Ryanair spokesman Peter Sherrard said people rushing for flights could be caught if they do not have this information to hand.

“We strongly advise passengers to do this before they get to the airport to avoid any confusion or unnecessary delays.

“This can be done online through a link in the Ryanair website so people can click through to it. This should be filled out before people get to the airport,” he said.

The regulations for information come into force on September 19.

These will also affect people flying to the Canaries and Balearic Islands and will apply to all flights from Britain and Ireland.
