Serious problem if money not clarified, warns Kenny

TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern will have a “serious problem” if he fails to clarify the dollar transactions that the Mahon Tribunal is probing, Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny insisted yesterday.

Stating that it was “utterly wrong” for people in high office to accept money for personal use, Mr Kenny said there had been ceaseless confusing statements about the money passing through the Taoiseach’s accounts.

“The Taoiseach himself has said on numerous occasions that he looks forward to the opportunity of clearing his name and clearing up any confusion about this,” he said.
