HIV dentist: 50 patients get all-clear

MORE than 50 patients screened for HIV after being treated by a public dentist, later diagnosed with the virus, have been given the all-clear.

So far, 54 of the 66 patients contacted by the Health Service Executive (HSE) last month have been tested for HIV.

All of the test results to date have been negative. Another two are booked in for a test at the end of the month; four are arranging tests at the moment and six have not yet decided whether to take the test.
