VISITING restrictions have been lifted at all parts of St Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny following a suspected outbreak of the vomiting bug.

The restrictions had been in place for more than a week after three patients exhibited symptoms consistent with the bug (the noro virus).

However, the situation is now clear at St Luke’s — which covers counties Kilkenny and Carlow — and the HSE thanked the public for cooperation in implementing the infection control measures during that time.
