Parlon to fight PD policy

FORMER minister Tom Parlon was embroiled in fresh controversy last night, as his new job will see him fight to scrap a policy he strongly endorsed while in government.

The Construction Industry Federation he quit politics to head is to sue the State over new contracts fixing the cost of public building contracts paid for by the Office of Publics Works.

While minister responsible for the OPW in February, Mr Parlon insisted the reforms would bring “greater price certainty”.
