TRAFFIC is again moving smoothly along one of the country’s most scenic tourist routes, following the completion of a temporary stretch of road in record time by Kerry County Council.

In less than three days, the council built a 350-metre replacement road on the Slea Head Drive, in the Dingle peninsula.

Meanwhile, the council is planning a permanent, one-kilometre stretch of road for around €1m.
