Funeral of elderly farmer

THE funeral takes place today of an elderly Co Tipperary farmer who died after being knocked to the ground by cattle last Tuesday.

P J Leamy received serious head injuries while leaving cattle out of a crush on Tuesday last.

He was rushed to Nenagh general hospital and died midweek.

The accident happened on his farm at Capparoe near Nenagh.

He is survived by two sons and grandchildren.

The funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes church in Silvermines at noon today followed by burial at Kilmore cemetery.
