FG leader appalled by paedophile revelations

THE disclosure of an alleged paedophile ring involving a garda, a teacher and a truck driver would make ordinary people’s “blood run cold”, Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny told the Dáil yesterday.

Expressing outrage at the revelations, Mr Kenny said that young children were not being treated as sexual commodities.

Mr Kenny, who was speaking during Leaders’ Questions, added: “If these reports are true they make a mockery of the safeguards and the criteria that have been laid down.”
