Hundreds of submissions on school catchment review

HUNDREDS of submissions have been made to a review of controversial school catchment boundaries, which have not been changed for four decades.

The Oireachtas Education Committee has invited interested parties to make their views known by tomorrow.

It plans to begin hearings next month with a view to possible changes to outdated boundaries in many parts of rural Ireland.
