‘People have lost trust in planning process’

POLITICAL interference in the planning system must stop, the Green Party has said.

Corruption and rezoning had imposed “a terrible cost” on communities and left people without trust in the planning process, party leader Trevor Sargent said.

Many communities, especially new housing estates, were suffering from a lack of schools, shopping and sports facilities as a result of corrupt planning decisions.
