SECURITY staff representatives are to consider conducting protests and work stoppages at an urgent meeting next week, amid escalating attacks on the industry.

Union officials in the cash-in-transit (CIT) industry remain angry at what they say is the Government’s failure to bring in safety measures, repeatedly requested.

Employees have sought permission to use bus lanes for cash collections and deliveries and want to be able to park on double-yellow lines and pavements without fear of getting penalty points on their own licences.
