Kenny denies giving councillor green light

FINE GAEL leader Enda Kenny last night denied he had encouraged a councillor expelled for pro-drink driving views to rejoin the party.

The move came after Tipperary South representative Michael Fitzgerald claimed he had been given the green light to apply for membership again.

“I was speaking to the boss man himself, Enda Kenny, last week and he told me I was free to reapply for membership,” he told Today FM.
