Disabled children’s school access among top equality complaints

DISABILITY-related complaints top the list of Equality Authority investigations, with children’s access to education emerging as the biggest concern.

Figures obtained by the Irish Examiner for case numbers and types show the authority is dealing with 458 complaints.

Disability tops complaints under Equal Status Acts complaints with 74 cases, and accounts for 34 cases under the Employment Equality Act.
