Bargain craft fair attracts hundreds

A MAJOR craft fair opened in Cork yesterday and attracted hundreds of people with bargain prices.

Up to 80 exhibitors at the Crafts and Design Fair in Cork’s City Hall knocked 10% of their prices.

Hundreds of people streamed through the doors and picked up early Christmas presents.

Selling everything from canvas art and woodwork, to cheese and jewellery, they will continue to showcase their products until Sunday.

Horse Shoe Craft, Sara Roberts Ceramics from Nohoval, Co Cork, and Wexford-based Purple Productions, run by Aine and Mark Byrne, are among the exhibitors.

There are also a range of beauty products, hats, knitwear, chocolate, mulled wine and pottery.

The fair runs today from 11am to 9pm, and from 11am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. Entry is €7.
