THE Government has advised three Irish people who stayed in the hotel where Russian ex-spy Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned to contact the British health service, following information from the British Government.

The Department of Foreign Affairs was told on Saturday night that there was a “small risk” that five Irish people who stayed in London’s Millenium Hotel on the October 31 and November 1 may have been poisoned.

So far, the department has contacted three of the people, and expects to contact the remaining two shortly.
