CORK’S city councillors met behind closed doors yesterday to draw up budget proposals for 2007.

The proposals will be voted on at a full public meeting on December 18.

Socialist Party Cllr Mick Barry warned Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Labour councillors that he would fight proposals to hike refuse charges or other stealth taxes for 2007.
