Six schools added to €300m PPP investment plan

A FURTHER six schools have been selected to begin the planning process under the latest Public Private Partnership (PPP) building deal, Education Minister Mary Hanafin announced yesterday.

The five second-level schools and one primary school are among 27 schools chosen in September 2005 to be part of a €300 million PPP investment under the Department of Education school-building programme.

Department officials have finalised site acquisitions and will begin seeking planning permission and consultations with staff, parents and other stakeholders in the schools set to benefit from the new buildings.
