CORK County Council has been told it will have to build more social houses in West Cork.

Council report reveals social housing shortfall in county

A report released by local authority officials showed the region losing out to other parts of the county.

The issue was highlighted after Cllr Danny Crowley received a report which showed that so far this year 202 social houses had been built in the county, but only 16 of them were in West Cork. Meanwhile, 95 were constructed in North Cork and 91 in South Cork.
