Gardaí to be balloted on introduction of reservists into force

RANK-AND-FILE gardaí are to be balloted in the week ahead on the historical introduction, yesterday, of new reservists to the force.

The Garda Representative Association, strongly opposed to the move, said the result will be available by the end of the month.

However, they refused to comment further.
