‘Decentralised’ agency takes out 25-year Dublin lease

THE Government’s decentralisation plans were mired in confusion again yesterday as it emerged an agency slated to move to Shannon has taken out a 25-year lease on a Dublin base for its 600 staff.

Enterprise Ireland said it was still committed to moving west despite the fact that only 19 of its Dublin employees have so far indicated a willingness to move under the voluntary transfer scheme.

Enterprise Minister Micheál Martin approved the leasing of the two office blocks in the capital’s docklands.
