GARDAÍ are to patrol passenger vehicles this weekend following a horrific attack on a man who was kicked out of the top-floor window of a bus in Dublin.

Philip King, aged 19, was minding his own business last Friday afternoon while travelling on the upper deck of a number 77 bus. He was going shopping to the Tallaght Square.

In an unprovoked attack by seven Travellers, the local college student received several blows to the his head and body and was kicked out of a top window on the moving bus, falling 20 feet to the street below.
