ONE-in-five younger mothers aren’t happy with the amount of information they’re given by their doctors and midwives during pregnancy.

Young, non-national and underprivileged mothers feel they are being left in dark

Mothers aged between 15 and 24, who are mostly first timers, feel left in the dark over a wide range of issues, from birth positions to pain relief.

Overall, 11% of mothers aren’t happy with the level of advice and guidance they receive during antenatal visits, but this figure doubles for women aged between 15 and 24.
