IBEC demands price freeze on public services in €1bn Budget package

BUSINESS and employers body IBEC has called on the Government to freeze the price of publicly administered services for at least a year.

In its pre-Budget submission the employer lobby group has demanded a €1bn package of measures in the next Budget to cut taxes for employees and boost the competitiveness of Irish industry.

Of that €600m would go to help Irish business compete on export markets, where they are losing market share in an expanding global market, said IBEC.
