AN audit of enrolment policies ordered by Education Minister Mary Hanafin could force some schools to change their attitude of excluding foreign students and those with special needs.

The review by her officials is taking place in response to a growing trend among schools in many areas directing these students to other institutions.

While they might not be definitively discriminating against them, it is felt that their policies might be discouraging students who require more resources from attending.
