Speed cameras delayed until 2007

The RSA blamed the delay on the time taken to award the contract, while Justice Minister Michael McDowell said he expected it would be the “first half of 2007” before the contract was awarded and the system up and running.

Transport Minister Martin Cullen had hoped to have the first phase of cameras in place by the end of 2006.
