Treacy called to tribunal over leak comments

JUNIOR Minister Noel Treacy has been summoned to appear before the Planning Tribunal next week to answer questions about the leaking of information about payments to Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

Mr Treacy last week accused the tribunal of leaking “like a sieve” and claimed the source of such leaks was well-known.

The information about Mr Ahern was provided to The Irish Times newspaper by an individual who had knowledge of the confidential information the Taoiseach supplied to the tribunal.
