A GUN game on the internet allowing the user take sniper shots on Limerick streets has been removed after a storm of protest.

The Sniper Game was created by a Texas high school student, Chris Alvares.

Speaking from his home yesterday, the teenager said he chose Limerick as the backdrop for the game after randomly getting a series of images of the city on the Google search engine.
