RANK-AND-FILE gardaí are to draw up a “plan of action” over the Garda Reserve after pulling out of pay talks.

The development comes as garda management announced that 400 of the 6,661 applications for the reserve have been processed, out of which 40 would begin training this weekend.

The Garda Representative Association (GRA) yesterday withdrew from pay talks after receiving what they claimed were new and “excessive demands” from garda management to secure a 3% pay rise.
