Criminal probe into silo fire as business reopens

A COMPANY whose towering docks silo was gutted in a massive inferno got back to business yesterday.

Senior managers with R&H Hall surveyed the damaged 150 foot silo on Cork’s Kennedy Quay yesterday following Tuesday’s blaze. They said the first steps to reinstate the production, drying and storage capacities at the damaged plant will be taken over the coming days.

“The company’s intent is to have these fully restored in time for the next grain harvest,” a company spokesman said.
