VOLUNTARY housing organisation Respond is pulling out of Limerick following severe criticism from members of Limerick City Council.

Group shelves housing plans after council ‘mugging’ over anti-social behaviour

The organisation accused a number of councillors of ‘mugging’ them at a housing meeting last monday.

Respond, which has built 104 social houses and apartments in Limerick — including 34 family homes in Moyross, 44 townhouses in Thomondgate, and 26 apartments in Summer Street — had plans to build 119 new homes in the city.
