Ahern ‘not scared’ of rising popularity of Kenny

THE Taoiseach Bertie Ahern said he was not scared of the increasing popularity of opposition leader Enda Kenny.

Mr Kenny claims that Fine Gael can double its Dáil seats and oust Fianna Fáil and the Progressive Democrats after the next general election.

But Mr Ahern today joined Tánaiste Michael McDowell in dismissing Mr Kenny’s ambitions to become Taoiseach and his performances in opinion polls as well as local and European elections.
