Coughlan hints at Cabinet reshuffle

THE leadership change in the Progressive Democrats could lead to a Cabinet reshuffle, Agriculture and Food Minister Mary Coughlan said yesterday.

She was responding to reporters’ questions after she officially opened the Agricultural Science Association annual conference in Sligo.

Msinister Coughlan stressed that a change of PD leader would not destabilise the Government or Cabinet. She had worked in politics for 20 years with Mary Harney and had found her supportive and forthcoming.
