Showing the money: Hobbs buys €2m house and stables
Monart House is a four-bedroom property on 16 acres with 14 stables and gallop space in Gilltown, two miles from Killcullen.
The property was brought up for auction by Kildare selling agents, Nolan and Brophy auctioneers, at the end of June.
The property was withdrawn from the market at €2m and sold after the auction for a higher price.
Among the highlights of the property is its equestrian facilities, which include an American barn with 12 loose boxes, a feed room and office as well as two adjoining stables and a plunging ring and sand gallop.
The house itself has three double bedrooms, three ensuite and spacious kitchen and reception rooms.
It is understood the Show Me the Money and Rip-off Republic presenter had been looking around the Kildare area for some time for a property where he and his wife could raise their young family.
Mr Hobbs is already living in Kildare where he has his investment consultancy FDM.
It is unclear when he will move into his new home with his wife Mary and their four young children.
The Corkman has been linked to a new three-part financial show which is expected to hit television screens in the autumn.
He was unavailable for comment on his purchase last night.
