Childcare supplement to be paid on Monday

THE first instalments of the heavily delayed Early Childcare Supplement will be paid on Monday.

Families will receive €250 for each child under six.

The €1,000 annual supplement, designed to assist with the costs of childcare, was announced in last December’s budget and was supposed to be introduced from April.
