The delay, which is due to a bureaucratic mix-up, caused the visitors to miss a weekend parade which was held in their honour.

The Tipperary community has been waiting patiently for their West African visitors to obtain visas to travel to Ireland. But the process has taken seven months, causing upset in Cahir.
