Cork 2005: Eurochild

THE Eurochild project will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2005 when thousands of children flock from all over Europe to the celebrations in Nantes.

Tigh Filí, The Poets’ House in Cork, will hold this week-long festival in collaboration with Euro École, Nantes.

Children from outside Ireland who have written and painted for the project will be celebrated and published. It is also planned to re-issue a special Tenth Anniversary Issue of A Child’s Famine to commemorate this milestone. The Eurochild project takes “Building Confident Europeans” as one of its themes and wishes to see the children of Europe meeting face to face in the cafés and on the safe streets of Cork.Choral Festival:
