Gardaí appeal to mother of abandoned baby

GARDAÍ in Dublin yesterday made a fresh appeal for the mother of a new-born baby abandoned in the centre of the city to come forward.

The boy was left in a bag at a bus stop in busy Clanbrassil St at lunchtime on Saturday.

The infant was discovered by passers by who raised the alarm and he was taken to hospital where he was said to be in good health.
