Cork punter pulls winning New Year Lotto ticket

A MYSTERY Cork punter has 663,900 reasons to smile after scooping a share of the New Year’s Eve Lotto jackpot.

The winning ticket, which was one of three sharing the €2 million jackpot, was sold at the Read and Write shop at Douglas Court Shopping Centre.

The other two winning tickets were sold in Dublin and Kildare.

The winning numbers were 19, 20, 28, 29, 31 and 36.

The bonus number was 10. According to the National Lottery, the winning Cork ticket was a €3 Quick Pick.

The lucky person may collect their winnings today when the National Lottery headquarters in Dublin reopens for business.
