A PAKISTANI national has been left with a fractured jaw, a fractured nose and injuries to his leg, after thugs broke into his house and beat him with hurleys for no apparent reason.

The man, who has asked not to be named fearing further attacks, has since left his house and is staying in rented accommodation.

He studies at Waterford Institute of Technology and worked part-time at a petrol station to fund his education.
