DISABLED people are less likely to visit friends, go to the pub or cinema, or take a holiday, a survey has shown.

Disabled people’s social lives limited by inaccessibility

The National Disability Authority (NDA) said a lack of accessibility to homes and venues was a key factor in preventing disabled people from enjoying the same social lives as those without disabilities.

The aim of the survey, carried out by TNS/MRBI on behalf of the NDA, was to gather information on the level of social inclusion and the well-being of people with disabilities.
