ROGUE landlords will continue to dodge paying tax on their rental incomes, despite a planned Government crackdown to uphold tenants rights and accommodation standards.

The Government is setting up a State body to monitor the rented sector the Private Residential Tenancies Board where landlords will be obliged to register all tenancies.

But Environment Minister Martin Cullen said information on registered landlords will not be passed on to or accessed by the Revenue Commissioners.
