Gardaí appeal for witnesses to serious sex assault

GARDAÍ are appealing for witnesses to a serious sexual assault on a young woman early yesterday morning.

The woman, in her 20s, was walking home from Grand Parade in Cork city at around 2am.

She was passing the Lough Church on Bandon Road when a man approached her looking for a light for a cigarette.
