Sinn Féin’s Ferris will not be prosecuted

THE Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has decided not to prosecute Sinn Féin TD Martin Ferris arising from a garda investigation into an alleged vigilante attack, in Castleisland, Co Kerry, three years ago.

The Kerry North TD yesterday said he had received a letter from the DPP on the matter.

He claimed he and up to seven other Sinn Féin members had been wrongly arrested at the time.
