Man in critical condition after collision

THE driver of a car which collided with a goods vehicle at Carr’s Hill, near Cork city, yesterday was last night said to be in a critical condition.

The accident, at an intersection on the road between Cork and Carrigaline, happened shortly before 4.30pm.

The driver of the car, who was rushed to Cork University Hospital, was the only person injured in the accident. His name has not yet been released.
