Man beaten with golf club after party

GARDAÍ are to send a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions following a vicious assault on a young man with a golf club.

The 18-year-old victim sustained serious head injuries when he was attacked in the grounds of a Dublin church after attending a New Year’s Eve party.

The youth was bludgeoned with a golf club on the grounds of St Canice’s Church in Finglas, north Dublin, while he was on his way home from a party at around 3.30am.
