Dolores is welcome to spend her Euromillions here, say BT

A TOP Limerick store is prepared to ‘consider’ any request from Euromillions lottery winner Dolores McNamara for exclusive Christmas shopping time.

Dolores is welcome to spend her Euromillions here, say BT

Brown Thomas says it can give Dolores all the privacy she wants to shop. Liam Dwan, who heads Brown Thomas in O’Connell Street, said the shop had not received any such request.

Mr Dwan said: “We’re open very long hours as it is. But we’d consider any request. We’re always prepared to talk and it would all depend on the situation.”

Although Dolores has ‘parked’ her €115 million in a Limerick bank for six months she has plenty of loose change from the interest of about €8,000 a day she is earning.

She recently spent €350,000 on a new home for her eldest son, Gary and his partner in Castleconnell.

Gary left Limerick for a short period in September amid fears that a criminal gang planned to abduct him.

Gardaí are in ongoing contact with Dolores and her family giving advice on security matters.

She has told friends that although she wants to hold on to her home at St Patrick’s Road, Garryowen, she wants to buy a home with more privacy.

One neighbour said: “A lot of people come to see where she lives. On Sundays you would see cars with registration numbers from up the country and they are always asking where the house is.”

Special cctv security cameras have been installed at the house and the new home Gary is moving into.

The 46-year-old is said to be Ireland’s 72nd richest woman, ahead of Enya.
