Flatley steps back into limelight

JUST when you thought you’d heard the last of the Celtic Tiger, the nation’s favourite pet is set to come roaring back ... in the form of a dance spectacle.

The Chicago-born twinkle toes, Michael Flatley, announced yesterday that he is stepping out once more, and is returning to Ireland next spring for the first date on the European tour of Riverdance #5, or Celtic Tiger as it is more properly known.

Flatley’s new opus, which in his typical flamboyant style is described as “an epic masterpiece,” will be staged for one night only at the Point Theatre on April 20, 2006.

It will be Flatley’s first performance in Ireland in more than a decade.
