Gaeltacht housing causes parents concern

A PARENTS’ group wants a cap on the number of Irish language students bean an tís can accept in their homes.

The group also wants strict Bord Fáilte regulations applied to accommodation provided to students learning English in Ireland to be extended to Gaeltacht houses providing lodgings for teenagers in the summer months.

A survey by the National Congress of Catholic Secondary Schools Parent Associations highlights grave dissatisfaction among some Irish language summer school students with their accommodation in Gaeltacht homes.
